Makers

Made with love

It takes a lot of skill and passion to actually make something of quality, much of which has been lost from the UK. So, our remaining makers are extremely important.

Keeping UK makers alive

The number of genuine UK makers drops each year as the costs become too high and the competition from cheap over sea imports make it hard to make enough to survive.

At WardWilliams Creative we know the struggles and we are always looking for ways to help. We offer free advice sessions via Cockpit Arts and other maker organisations to try and help boost confidence and educate makers on tax efficiencies and common accounting issues or questions.

A little support goes a long way

Many makers operate via a limited company, others chose to remain as sole traders but they all face similar issues.

We help with bookkeeping and queries about VAT on invoices to different countries. We are always there as a supporting hand to answer ad hoc queries and give peace of mind and confidence that the finances are under control. Helping you to maximising your returns whilst keeping tax to a minimum.

The team have provided valuable support to our community on a number of levels. Their regular workshops are a 'must' for makers wanting to understand how to navigate financial matters stretching from tax returns to through to growth and capacity financial planning."
