How to identify if a suspicious contact is a scam and not a genuine phone call, text message or email?

Not the nicest of Wednesday wisdom’s we have ever written but a very important one nonetheless, especially in these troubled times.

HMRC have recently updated their guidance on the way in which scammers and fraudsters try to trick innocent taxpayers. The list is lengthy, including examples of websites, e-mails, letters, text messages, WhatApp chats and phone calls.
