2. Late Friday Jazz Nights

Cockpit Arts is open 11am to 8pm on Friday for festive shopping in Holborn and Deptford. With live music from 5 – 8pm and a chance to win a £50 Cockpit Arts voucher with a hidden Golden Ticket!

Friday Evening Music 5.30–7.30pm

Alex Hitchcock is a London-born saxophonist and composer. He leads his own award-winning quintet, receiving first place in the Conad Jazz Contest at the Umbria Jazz Festival, 2018. More accolades include a critically acclaimed EP ‘All Good Things’, a sell-out launch at Pizza Express Jazz Club in London and performances at Ronnie Scott’s, Love Supreme Festival and the Royal Albert Hall. Accompanying Hitchcock is Joe Downard, one of the UK’s most impressive double bass players.

3. Free Entry for Locals!

Cockpit Arts are offering free entry to Camden and Lewisham residents for the first hour each day – 11am to 12 noon, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Even if you’re not a local this is still a great ethos to get behind!

4. Opportunity to buy unique art

The Out There Art Fair

As part of Open Studios, The Out There Art Fair is back for another year, presenting work by over 50 ActionSpace artists, and giving you the chance to buy a unique artwork to add to your collection. Guest curator Cornelia Marland will select this year’s exhibition.

ActionSpace is a London based visual arts organisation that supports artists with learning disabilities and creates innovative projects for people with learning disabilities to engage with the visual arts.

5. Delicious food for maximum xmas shopping energy

Hand Made Food Café

Award-winning Hand Made Food has been flying the flag for seasonal and sustainable food for 20 years. They will be serving a delicious spread, locally brewed beers, natural wines and freshly roasted coffee.
